Ryan Cayabyab and Friends Concert !

If the America has David Foster, the Philippines have Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. I am not comparing these two musical masters, but they have something in common. And that is the intellect and the power to manipulate the notes in their hands. Maestro Ryan Cayabyab has been in this industry for a very long time now. Mr. C as he is known in this industry has been performed with leading Philippine Musical Personalities like Lani Misalucha, Regine Velasquez, Dulce, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano and many more. He has also performed outside the country – New York, USA; Las Vegas, Nevada; Vancouver, Canada; Japan, Netherlands and many more.

Did you know that Mr. C composed the themes of TV Patrol and ABSCBN late night news The World Tonight in 1992 and used until 1996. Mr. C also composed ‘Mabuhay’ song, the opening song of Miss Universe 1994 when it was held here in Manila.

Sir Ryan Cayabyab was last seen on primetime television thru ABSCBN’s Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 as Head Master. To those who haven’t remembered this season, it was Laarni Losada who was hailed the Big Winner in this contest. This was the season where we were introduced to extremely talented singers like Bugoy, Miguel Mendoza, and Liezel Garcia. But earlier than PDA2 days, Mr. C judged a rival singing contest in TV5 – Philippine Idol along with Pilita Corrales and the late Francis Magalona.

Now, on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 8PM, along with The Ryan Cayabyab Singer (I am proud that a friend of mine is one of them. My bigger brother and Amang Volter) Mr. Ryan Cayabyab and Friends will perform at the NEWPORT PERFORMING ARTS THEATER. This concert will have Bituin Escalante, Dulce and Jed Pangan singing outstanding hits and OPM classics. The concept and stage direction will be managed by Mr. Floy Quintos and this is a joint project by The Ultimate Entertainment, Inc.; Ticketworld; www.rwmanila.com, NEWPORT PERFORMING ARTS THEATER and ABSCBN as the Official TV Partner.

Asian Obsession - Mario Maurer

Mario Maurer is a Thai actor popular in asia today. He debuted in the movie ‘Love of Siam’ in 2007 and received extremely positive reviews from the critics. The film was about a boy who fell inlove with a boy who is his childhood friend. Though the movies features two male characters fell inlove with one another, it was widely watched and accepted in different countries including Catholic/Christian countries and other conservative nations. The movie includes a scene where Mario has to kiss his male partner. In an interview he said that he was nervous for he has never kissed a man and it is not something you do everyday.  Unfurtunately, Mario has been nominated for an Asian Award in the Best Supporting Actor Category but he lost. However, he won the Best Actor award for Southeast Asian catergory in the 10^th Cinemanila International Film Award.

Today, Mario is widely popular in the Asian countries including Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia and Philippines. In the Philippines, the biggest TV Network ABSCBN is up to premiere his romantic comedy movie ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’ with beautiful thai actress Fern Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul. I am pretty sure that more Filipinos will fell in love with this cute thai and will be going crazy with this lovable movie.

Mario Maurer’s features used to reminds me of the local celebrities I know and here are the few:

Chris Cayzer – LOOK AT THAT INDAY !! they really look the same. The eyes resembles to one another. Though Mario is more masculine than Chris pero pasok pa rin sa okasyon.  Chris Cayzer is more focused in his singing career and I would claim that he is the ‘John Mayer’ of the Philippines.

Aj Perez – They’re both have the ‘boy next door’ appeal. They are both cutie and ready to pose a smile to everyone in the room. Where is that room !!!! I wanna see that boy next to the door !!!!

Gerald Anderson – Both Mario and Gerald are wholesome actors and models. But when the situation needed to be undressed – they never think twice. Both has fixed and masculine body that melts everyone’s heart … OLALA !

Steven Silva – Steven and Mario both have the asian look award. They both have this chinito appeal that everybody loves. Though Mario is Half German and Half Thai and Steven is Half Korean and Half Filipino, the resemblance is still there. Pa kiss !

Francis M – NO DOUBT ! If the master rapper would have been alive today, and they will do a father-son tandem, it would pass. Perfect !! MAGKAPESS OH !!

James Younghusband – When Mario played as a football player role in CLTCL, and I look at him at a glimpse, I remember my ex James .. ahaha sorry claimer ako ! I felt the gwaponess in the pawisan look .. ahaha sarap di ba !?

Richard Gutierrez – They both have the sexiness and hotness and equally appealing to the people.

JC De Vera – YES ! Equally sexy and hot, though Mario is more fairer than JC but both have buffy body.

Fabio Ide – Papa Fabio has consistently rocking my world. His toned body is likely to compare to the buffness of Mario’s body. And both posseses the licence to bare naked :D

Who ever I see, there is only one Mario Maurer that will forever stays in my heart !! UMARTE BA !?
