STOP BULLYING NOW !

In American News just this morning, there was a student who commited suicide because of bullying and discrimation of his sexuallity. In the Philippines, it may not be obvious but it is happening. In in the school, in our community, even in our own house. I can a test to that, Ive been there. I have been bullyied, discriminated and anything that disrespected my morality because of my sexuallity. Im weak, im scared. Im scared to know what the people may think of me. Im scared to be eaten by this selfish and judgemental world. Im weak, because I know there isnt anyone can help me and protect me. I have no one to turn to. So I look for people who encountering same problems. We gain strenght to each other. Wrapped our arms on each other we fought for every judgemental eyes and mouth that came our way. With that, we gain other inocent people weeping in silence. Together we stand as one. And we will stand forever.

To the judgemental world and people; When you judge someone it doesn’t define who they are, it defines who you are. Go ahead and throw your stones on us. BECAUSE WE ARE GAY ?! WHO CARES ?! Only God can judge us who we are and who we arent. We are living in this Earth with our own purposes. Who are you to judge us. Live your life, leave us alone.

To all the victims our judgemental world; Stop weeping in silence, come out and let your voice be heard. You are not alone, there are thousands and millions of the same people who weep like you. Learn to talk, speak of gender, be proud. You are created by God for a certain purpose. No one in this world can take anyone’s life, even you. Let us prove to the world that we are united. United by one cause, we may differ in colors and language, but we speak in one heart, and fight in one rainbow. Let us all pray for those stupid people that may God give them openmindedness, and let us pray for those who weep in silence.

I am making a stand. STOP GAY BULLYING NOW !

Two Day Media Forum at Instituto Cervantes

The best thing being a student is having large time spending time to collect knowledge and facts about anything around the world. As a student, you have the access to discover and rediscover things and ideas. This week, along with my classmates we’ve been to Instituto Cervantes to attend a two day forum about Spanish-Philippine Media.Attended by different Media People including CNN Spain, El Mundo and NUJP. Our professor gave our group a midterm project to discuss Philippine Media in Spanish era. Everybody knows that during the regime of Spanish here in the Philippines, we do not have the full access on our media. Even books and articles published are being controlled by the Spanish authority. But there things left behind that we didn’t know. There are Filipino students who are studying media relation courses as early as those days. These students came from prestigious family or clan that they can afford to study in big universities in and out of the country. The oldest university that offers media courses is University of Sto. Tomas.

Today, Spanish and Philippine media – if we will compare, doesn’t have any difference. Only that Philippine Media is corrupted by political anxieties and minds. In the height of Maguindanao Massacre were numbers of media practitioners were killed by known political clan, Spanish media people asked – why are these happening to our country?

In Spanish Media, practitioners are protected by a certain guild and don’t give a link to political propaganda. But in the Philippines, media is used to promote or uplift some certain political names. Many to mention, but are these characteristics am I going to posses? Am I ready to enter this world, having my foot step into the grave? Everybody talks about to be a responsible media practitioners, but doesn’t know how to be a responsible person. As a kid learning the ins and outs of this industry, I will never give a risk to offer myself for any political stability against a person or a community.
