ABSCBN's Padre De Pamilya

Christopher De Leon accepted the offer of ABSCBN but will still be seen on TV5’s miniseries with Superstar Nora Aunor. The senior actor accepted a drama series in ABSCBN with Piolo Pascual and Jericho Rosales.  Mr. De Leon supposed to have a fantasy theme ala Narnia series with TV5 but he and his manager Lolit Solis accepted the drama with ABS.

The working title of his drama series with ABSCBN is ‘Padre De Pamilya’. Piolo Pascual uttered his excitement to work with Christopher De Leon. Jericho Rosales also expressed his own share of excitement over this long awaited opportunity. “I’m excited kasi kasama ko si Piolo and Boyet,” he exclaimed. Other notable showbiz personalities who will be taking part in the series “Padre de Pamilya” are Maricar Reyes, Denise Laurel and Rafael Rosell.

Charice sings Theme Song for Final Fantasy XIII-2

International Filipino Sensation Charice is set to release her sophomore international album - Infinity. The second track "New World" from this album has been chosen to be the theme song for Final Fantasy XIII-2. The lyrics of this song is very well written: "Baby I'm gonna see the new world / With nothing but the love you gave me." The song is written by Koichi Tabo of Superfly for Charice's Japan exclusive album.

According to the Final Fantasy and More blog, "Yakusoku no Basho, which translates to "Place of Promise", will be available as a single on November 23, 2011. The Limited Edition single will have a code that will unlock a bonus item within the game." 

The said entry also points out: "The English version will only be in Japan on the Xbox version."The "Yasusoku no Basho/New World" theme song was performed by Mai Fukui in Japanese while the English version was performed by Filipino singer Charice.

People's champ Manny Pacquiao's Los Angeles crib was robbed and four people were arrested. These 4 arrested people are under the custody of LA law enforcers. The police are now doing investigation in Pinoy champ's Hancock Park Mansion. It was not sure yet what was taken but they are trying to contact Manny with regards to this incident.

US X Factor, is this going to be a hit ?

Everyone is looking forward for the US version of British hit 'X Factor' and yet to start in America in coming weeks. The first episode was screened to a crowd of thousand people, judge Simon Cowell was pleasantly surprised by the show's passionate reception from US audiences. Simon described the US audiences as tougher than English audiences. 

American X Factor is to be hosted by Steve Jones and judges are Simon Cowell, L.A. Reids, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. Don't miss The X Factor when it premieres next Wednesday, September 21 on FOX!

Its Official, Oprah didnt say anything about Miss U

Its official, the truth behind Oprah's comment about Miss Universe is not true. Hours after the awarding of 2011 Miss Universe, alleged statement from Queen of Talk spread like wildfire online. The statement was aired via NBC News saying: “I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion, after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point.” 

A statement from Oprah Official Website moderator cleared that the business mogul did not said anything about the pageant.  The moderator of the talk show's official website also advised fans to visit Oprah's pressroom in her online site for updates about the talk show host. 


NBC News has not issued any statement either on its official Twitter account.

Miss Universe 2011

Leila Lopes, Miss Angola is crown as 2011 Miss Universe. On its 60th year anniversary she is crowned the newest queen and stood as the most beautiful amongst all. Along side, Philippines' Shamcey Supsup ranked as 3rd placer and Miss China Lou Zilin ranked as 4th placer. This year's host country Brazil got 2nd place and Olesya Stefanko from Ukraine got 1st place respectively. 

Miss Congeniality was awarded to Miss Montenegro and Photogenic goes to Sweden while Best National Costume were given to Panama.


Telecast Judges includes Helio Castroneves, Connie Chung, Isabeli Fontana, Vivica Fox, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, Farouk Shami, Amelia Vega - 2003 Miss Universe Italo Zanzi and our very own Lea Salonga.

Glee Season 3

The much awaited comeback of phenomenal american music hit is on. Glee Season 3 is definitely a must watch this coming weeks. Many surprises and twist is off to be shown. It has been confirmed that Idina Menzel will reprise her role as Shelby Cocoran in season 3. She will be featured in about 10-12 episodes. Lea Michele refuses to leave Glee. She has said that she loves it too much and she reckons that if she does leave, her acting career will be done for. Apparently no one will take her on for any upcoming shows.  

Glee will develop into "more surreal and hilarious" plot-lines in Season 3, as the show's producer expressed disbelief at unfounded support for recent episodes such as "A Night of Neglect" and "Funeral". Will and Emma will be getting hot action according to Brad Falchuk. Finn/Rachel will continue into season 3 as a couple. It has been confirmed that a 2 hour made-for-television movie will occur during season 3. This will be the only tribute episode of the season. While it has not been confirmed, possible candidates for the tribute episode include Maroon 5, ABBA, and the Beatles. Quinn has transformed/grown up/matured. This will be explored in season 3. Santana's coming out storyline will continue. Quinn might have a new romance this season. Sue wont be friendly for long. She will eventually try to destroy the Glee Club again. 

(Cory Monteith) gave a few hints at what the big story lines will be in Glee's third season. "There's gonna be a lot of transitions happening," he admits. "Rachel's eyes are very much set on New York when we leave season two and Finn is very interested in rebuilding a relationship with her. It's gonna be those challenges - does she go to New York? Does she stay? That's what season three is gonna be all about." 

"I think it's going to be interesting to see Mr Schuester's role - whether he pursues his Broadway dream or whether he stays at McKinley High." Ian Brennan said that season 4 will not be an entirely new cast (he can't remember who's a junior or a senior in season 3) but we will definitely see Emma, Will, Sue, and possibly Brittany because she might have trouble graduating. Dave and Santana also have some "mileage" in their story lines. Sue has been confirmed to be running for congress. The theme of the season is 'Goodbyes' and that New Directions is 'going their own separate ways'. Chris Colfer is campaigning madly for one storyline in particular. It involves Blaine. It is rumoured that this storyline involves Kurt having sex with Blaine for the first time. 

Quinn, Puck, Rachel and Finn will be graduating this season. Ian is considering introducing 'Internationals' this series. He wants it to be set in Paris. Mercedes, Mike and Tina will be getting significant storylines of their own and Sue will be getting a 20-episode story arc as well as a possible romantic interest. Gwyneth Paltrow will reprise her role as Holly Holiday. A new character, who is a failed and jaded pop star who is now teaching a Glee Club at a rival school, may be introduced. It is also hinted that the character will have a musical number. Tom Cruise is currently wanted for this role. It has been confirmed by Lady Gaga herself in a recent video interview that she is waiting for the free time to film for season 3 of Glee. Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang) and Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson) have been promoted to regulars, and will officially both be billed as one at the start of the season. Blaine will be transfering to McKinley high. Kurt spends most of the season premiere trying to get him to transfer. 


More twist and more action pact hilariousness will be set on Glee Season 3. 

Mario Maurer's Horror Flick to be shown in the Philippines

Asian Teen Obsession Mario Maurer has to arrive in the Philippine soil either this month or next month. His much anticipated arrival is heat up with his movie to be shown in the country this week. His horror movie "Bangkok Ghost Stories" (Rahtree Reborn) will be shown in local cinemas on September 7, 2011. He played a boy who fell in love with a dead girl.

Jennifer Garner is pregnant again !!

‘Alias’ star and actress Jennifer Garner is expecting another child with her husband Ben Affleck and the couple confirmed it to press. This little angel will soon to add in their two daughters Violet - 5 years old, and Seraphina – 2 years old. It is remembered that Jennifer previously denied that she is pregnant back in May 2011 when they are spotted with a rounded stomach and wearing baggy clothes.

Congratulations .. and it seem like this year, many  Hollywood celebs  will give birth.

What is Music to me - An entry for Audio-Technica M50

Music is one of things I can’t live without. Music is my innate passion and it verbalizes what I feel inside. Each time I sing, I feel like my soul rejoices in heaven. Every song and music that I cling to, are the pieces of my life story. I feel free under the ecstasy of powerful and beautiful melody. 

Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it. That is why I love putting in my headphones, turning up my music, and just escaping with no worries about anything. 

As a child, radio is my playmate and music is my toy. I listen to every song that I want to and it gives me comfort. Just like a baby cradle under her mother’s arm. As a teen, music is the sound track of my life. It sings along to my happiness and victory, cry along to my pain and sorrow and it taught me to be strong and confident whenever I’m struck by a great challenge.

But one thing I should be thankful about music, he was there in the darkest part of my life. It was a cold December days when my mom was hospitalized due to Breast Cancer. I left everything in Manila and flew to Bohol to comfort my mama. To see your mom suffering the pain of her sickness broke me into pieces. It breaks my heart to see my mom enduring the pain while I can’t do anything. No one was there to support me and comfort me. Not even my very best friend went there when I stumbled down. Only music accompanied me and picked me up when I was down. Seeing my mom smiling despite her condition made me realized that I shouldn’t be frown. I pick up all my broken pieces and stood up strong and brave. I stood up brave amidst life adversity.

The last days of my mom was filed with happiness and joy. We sang Christmas songs and played happy music. I would feel overjoyed whenever I would see mama smile and happy as if she is not sick at all. On the morning of Christmas, my mama passed away. I have accepted what God has planned for us. I’m thankful for all the memories we’ve shared together. And like no other can – music took away my sorrow and plant a seed of joy in my heart. Music helps me to stand up again and face life’s challenges.

Justin Bieber in Minor car accident in LA

Pop teen sensation Justin Bieber was involved in a minor car crash on his way home in Los Angeles but no one was injured. Bieber was driving his Ferrari car when he was collided with a Honda in an underground parking structure. Police said that there were no injuries and not even damages to both cars.

Bieber was in his way home from nearby Studio City. No further details were given by the police authority and from Bieber’s publicist.
