Aside from western artist, Asia’s Kpop group (my favorite) Big Bang were nominated for Worldwide Act    category.  Big Bang amazed the audience by winning the awards. The Worldwide Act category celebrates diversity and the breadth of all the music that MTV has to offer by nominating incredible artists from all corners of the world.

There were two rounds of voting.  First, each region had an opportunity to vote among MTVs choices for the seven artists that best represent the region.  In the Asia Pacific category, in addition to Big Bang,Exile (Japan), Jay Chou (Republic of China/Taiwan), Gotye (Australia), Sia (Australia), Jane Zhang(China), and Agnes Monica (Indonesia) were nominated.

After weeks of voting  Big Bang won for the Asia Pacific region and advanced to the finals along with Abdelfattah Grini (Africa/India/Middle East), Lena (Europe), Restart (Latin America), and Britney Spears (North America).
Due an impressive amount of voting by VIPs and fans all over the world, Big Bang won the coveted award.  They will have the honor of being the first ‘Worldwide Act’ award recipients.
Congratulations Big Bang!

VMA 2011 Best and Worst Dress

Best Dress

Britney Spears and her pals shows off their beautiful legs in their mini dress outfit.

Beyonce never fails to pose her elegance in her vibrant red dress.

Birtish Diva Adelle shows off her sexiness with her hair pulled up and her black sophisticated dress.

Jersey Shore's girls pose their sexy stunning tan in their vibrant dress.

Worst Dress

What went wrong to Katy Perry?

Miley Cyrus must have been pulled up her grandma's closet

The color combination of Bieber's outfit is killing my eyes

I would better like the silver dress than Selena Gomez' black cut dress.

Im sorry GaGa but Jo Calderon must have wear something better fit to the occasion.

Top Social Network Stars Worldwide

Last time I wrote about most like celebs in the Philippines. Now lets talk about the top like celebs or personality in the world. Again, this was tabulated by Fameaccount.com that manually categorizes process and orders the data into the pages you see.

First on the list is the popular entertainer Lady GaGa. She has been active in social networking and updating her fans in her personal Facebook and Twitter account. She uploads every performance in her YoutubeVevo and let the people watch it over and over. Lady GaGa never fails to surprise the world with the things she does and wears. She has been so eccentric and that makes the world like her most. She has been so controversial that she became a household name in few years time.

Second on the list is the phenomenal Justin Bieber. He is this generation’s answer to Frank Sinatra, Beatles and Elvis Presly. He is tagged as the ‘Heartthrob’ of today’s era. Everywhere else he go, he is mobbed and followed by fans. Even his private life and beyond is being publicized because of his fame.

Third is Rihanna. Her good girl gone bad image is epic. She is one of today’s fashion icon and musical diva. She is one of the most followed celebrity with it comes to hairstyles, tattoos and dress style.

Eminem ranked in number four slot. He has been in the industry since the late 90’s and he has built his reputation. He just doesn’t sing – he sings life. Unlike other rapper who lambastes unprofaned words, Eminem sings and rap the life’s adversities. He shared what he learned on his own experience.

Here are the list of the top social network stars worldwide.

11.   Taylor Swift - Swift's greatest musical influence is Shania Twain. Her other influences include LeAnn Rimes, Tina Turner, Dolly Parton, and Swift's grandmother. Although her grandmother was a professional opera singer, Swift's tastes always leaned more toward country music. When Swift was 15, she rejected RCA Records because the company wanted to keep her on an artist development deal.

12.   Katy Perry - Born in Santa Barbara, California, and raised by Christian pastorparents, Perry grew up listening to only gospel music and sang in her local church as a child. After earning a GED during her freshman year of high school, she began to pursue a career in music. As Katy Hudson, she released a self-titled gospel album in 2001, which was unsuccessful. Perry is artistically involved in her projects, especially in the writing process. Since she could play guitar, she would start writing songs at home and present it to her producers. Perry is mostly inspired by specific moments of her life. She said it is easy for her to write songs about heartbreak. Perry is known for her unconventional style of dress.  It is often humorous, bright in color, and reminiscent of different decades, and she frequently uses fruit-shaped accessories, mainly watermelon, as part of her outfits. Having learned dancing at an early age, she fantasized about having her own style. Critical reception of Gaga's music, fashion sense and persona are mixed. Her status as a role model, trailblazer and fashion icon is by turns affirmed and denied. Gaga's albums have received mostly positive reviews with critics pointing out her unique place in pop music, the need for new movements in popular culture, the attention Gaga brings to important social issues, and the inherently subjective nature of her art.
