Last Saturday, June 11, 2010, I attended the Blogs4Reviews 2nd anniversary lead by Miss Janette Torral. Miss Janette is the founder of the Philippine Internet Commerce Society and DigitalFilipino.com and she is one of the people behind pushing for the passage of the E-Commerce Law and Y2k Law. She has published 14 research reports that deals with Internet, IT manpower, online banking, e-commerce, outsourcing, mobile phone usage, IT adoption developments in the country. Miss Janet also does consulting works in the area of Internet marketing by designing and managing advertisement placements in blogs, social networks, social media, websites, and 3rd party advertising placement engines.
The Blogs4Reviews 2nd Anniversary was held at the very beautiful Tribeca Residencies in Sucat, Paranaque. It was the day of gathering for bloggers that crave to learn more about the cyber world, and how to earn money and make a profit out of it. I also had the chance to meet and rub elbows with other well known bloggers and writers around the metro.
Aside from this is and anniversary gathering, the best part of the program is the Professional Blogging Conference wherein guest and speakers that are master in this world talked about important topics about Online Writing and Responsible Blogging.
Mr. Alvin Chua shared about How to Attract Clients and How to Manage Contractual Relationship. He mentioned that Passion is the best vehicle on driving in this cyber world. It is so much important to know who are your target market/audience. Also he mentioned to research who are the clients and what their target. He also talked about many other techniques on dealing with clients and how to leave them a good impression while earning a good compensation.
Mr. Alvin Gozar discussed about Crisis PR and Blogging. He defines what is Communication's role in times of crisis - to AVOID LAW SUIT. He gave us tips on how to make a strategic work plan. And he also mentioned that kindness and politeness go a longer way to built a network.
After the conference, we were invited to see and go swimming in Tribeca's beautiful pool. Tribeca Residences is owned Landco Pacific Corporation, the developer of world-class projects such as Peninsula de Punta Fuego, Leisure Farms, Canyon Woods Residential Resorts and other blue label subdivision in the provinces. And after the swimming activity, the conference resumed and we get a chance to know the blogger's sphere from different parts of Luzon and Metro Manila. The night became an instant performance night and including me had a chance to perform an impromtu song and dance number. And before the night has ended, Miss Janet lead a raffle draw were I got home a Coffee from Estate Reserve Coffee and an Art Work from The Lopez Musuem and many gift certificates.
