I admire you, Choi, Sung-bong !

I was checking my facebook account when a video of a Korean inspiring singer hits my attention. A video feed from youtube has been shared from a friend's wall and it caught my busy eyes. The video was about a contestant from Korea's Got Talent wherein a young man shares his singing prowess to the people. This is not an ordinary scenario and he has an extremely wonderful story.

As he was introduced as an 'ordinary looking guy getting ready to be on stage'. His name is Choi Sung-bong, 22 years old and working as a manual worker in Korea. Looking at the video, he confessed that he is uncomfortable joining in the said competition. He just wanted to feel like a normal person. Choi's life struggle is incomparable. But through singing - it unleashes a passion underneath his soul. He became a new person and shares his passion to the world.

The judged started interrogating Choi by asking why did he left the 'family' section blank in his application. He replied that he was abandoned in an orphanage since he was three. And when he reached the age of five, he ran away because people in the orphanage beaten him. Since then he live in the street and sold gums and energy drinks for 10 long years. He lived alone and stand by himself for that long years. He sleeps at the stairs and public toilets and struggles a day fly life.

When judge asked if he has been in school he answer 'No'. He only took GED test to get his elementary and middle school degrees and high school was the first school he'd been to.

Choi mentioned that he sings because he enjoyed it. He likes singing because it is his passion. When judged asked him to sing, everybody was silent. And everyone was amazed when Choi started to sing. Even the judge had teary eyes because of Choi's performance. He sang a classical song 'Nella Fantasia' and everyone has been blown away by his performance. He had an angelic and magical voice. A strong and empowered vocal that can compare to Andrea Bocelli and Fabarotti. When he paused for a while, everyone applauded him and you can see the female judge tears crying over flowingly.

Choi's story was wonderful and amazing. Even I had goosebumps during his performance. I found my self crying and tears are flowing in my cheeks. I admire how this guy struggles with life's challenges. How many youth today have taken for granted every thing in their reach and lives a fabulousness life. When there are people in some part of the world longing to love and taken cared off. The video is heartbreaking story of this guy's humble journey. So prepare to cry !
